In 2024, MLB’s decision to incorporate Negro League statistics into the official record book was met with debate and skepticism. The league, playing style, and season length were “different”. However, those differences arose from the constraints imposed during segregation. The Negro Leagues did what they could with the resources they had under the circumstances.
